Waypoint holds information about people at work: who's on which team, who reports to whom, where they are. Here's what it collects and what happens to it, in plain language.
01Who runs Waypoint
Waypoint is run by Elliot Dahl, an individual, under the name Waypoint01. It isn't a company. “We” on this page means Elliot Dahl. Questions and requests go to support@waypoint01.com.
02What we collect
- When you sign in: the name, email address, profile photo and, for Google Workspace accounts, company domain that Google shares. We never see your Google password.
- What a workspace adds: the people an admin imports (name, work email, title, manager, team, location, time zone, start date), their profile photos, which are copied into private storage, the teams and links members create, and a history of who changed what.
- Office Party: the optional face-matching game guesses a likely gender from each first name, only to pick look-alike photos. Only workspace admins can see the guess.
- Connected AI tools:the access tokens that let an assistant you connect read Waypoint. They're stored hashed, they expire, and you can revoke them.
- Usage: cookieless page-view counts and standard server logs (IP address and browser type), used to keep the site running.
03Pulse surveys are anonymous
Who was asked to answer and what was answered are stored separately, with nothing linking an answer back to a person: no respondent ID, no timestamp, no ordering. Results unlock only after a survey closes with at least five responses, and only as totals.
04How it's used
Only to run Waypoint, keep it secure, and fix problems. We don't sell personal information, show ads, or use workspace content to train AI models. Your workspace's information is visible to its members and no one else.
05Services that handle it
Waypoint runs on Vercel (hosting, photo storage, analytics) and Neon (database), and uses Google for sign-in. All three store data in the United States. An AI tool you connect sees what your account can see, under that tool's own terms. We'll disclose information if the law requires it.
06Cookies
Only the ones Waypoint needs to work: staying signed in, protecting the sign-in flow, and remembering your last workspace. No advertising or tracking cookies.
07Removing your information
Workspace admins can edit or remove anyone in their workspace. If you're listed in a workspace, your admin is the quickest route. Otherwise, or to delete your account, email support@waypoint01.comand we'll remove it.
08Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. See also the Terms of Service.
